How RME Investigates & Analyzes Water Damage Causes
RME has developed significant expertise in the investigation of water damage as result of its extensive mold experience. RME's water damage projects have included high value commercial structures and private residences. An example of the range of projects completed by RME includes the following:
- Multi-Million Dollar Home (Southlake, TX): RME investigated the cause of water damage at a multi-million dollar home. The structure included several large elevated outdoor patios. The water barriers and drainage systems were poorly designed and constructed causing structural and aesthetic degradation to the structure. The cause of the damage was in dispute but RME's tests of the building systems proved that patio floor drains and scupper/membrane connections were the cause of the damage. RME also evaluated the deflection of the several key structural beams against building code and determined that the design and construction of the building lead to excessive deflection.
- Multi-Million Dollar Home (Austin, TX): RME investigated the cause of water damage at multiple floors located inside a multi-family complex with a flat roof. RME defined the extent of damage using infrared thermography and moisture testing and prepared a cost estimate for repair.
- Large Urban Multi-Family Structure (Dallas, TX): RME investigated the cause of water damage at multiple floors located inside a multi-family complex with a flat roof. RME defined the extent of damage using infrared thermography and moisutre testing and prepared a cost estimate for repair.
